Flood Resilience

We begin by ensuring your land has council approval to rebuild on and determine the optimal site position against flood risk. Our team of External Consultants assess the RD&B flood design suitable to withstand the dynamic effects of moving water, debris strike, wave actions, erosion, scour and water depth. We then use flood resilient strategies, design and build methods to provide a home solution which can “withstand substantial and multiple inundations by actively mitigating the effects of, and minimising the cost of flooding” 7. This includes using dry and wet proofing design and build methods, elevating the finished habitable floor level as well as educating home owners on the appropriate maintenance of their new RD&B home.

Our flood resilient designs allow for the disruption caused by floods to be minimised through easily cleaned materials and reduced repair costs – leading to a swift recovery where families can quickly re-enter their homes and communities.
